Overview:

The Snotlings guild is an association of members whose main interest is having fun and helping out their friends and fellow guildies. We are looking for characters of all levels and have no requirements for player skill. We strive to be a family friendly guild, as we have minors that play in the guild through their parent's accounts.

Even though we are a casual guild, we want to do instances and raids, but primarily for fun. This easy for instances, and much less so for raids (as a lot of players take it very seriously and are not very forgiving of n00bs in the raid). We would like to have players that enjoy the game and want to help their guildies eventually raid. This site supports scheduling events such as instances and raids, and we encourage our members to use it.

Our Philosophy:

Guild members have had a long standing tradition of calling each other an online family. We come together for one purpose and that is to have an enjoyable gaming experience with others who are seeking the same things from the game. We are relatively drama free and work hard to stay that way. Our officers and guild leaders are open minded and work hard to accommodate the reasonable needs of their fellow guild mates. We believe in self reliance, meaning you are responsible to follow all of the guidelines as well as to come prepared to events. We believe that each person, regardless of whether they role play or not, should be treated with respect. Should an issue arise, it is strongly suggested that you speak with an officer in private regarding the issue, rather then everyone else so that we can find a quick and suitable resolution. All and all we are a very relaxed environment with one goal in mind, to enjoy ourselves as we see fit with the least amount of drama.

Drama Policy
Bringing excessive drama into the guild is unacceptable. Fighting, arguing, slander, gossiping and agitating other for the sake of your entertainment will not be tolerated. If you are in conflict with another member of the guild please see an officer to resolve the issue.

Structure:

Officer Responsibilities:

Officers are expected to enforce and follow all of the guild's rules and guidelines, and act with humility and grace towards guild members. An officer should not expect to have any extra privileges above other members as they are members themselves. An officer is chosen because of the respect that they are given by their colleagues, their ability to make decisions, their ability to follow through and their sense of fairness balance and equality.

What is expected of a member holding an officer position?
  1. They are attentive to guild issues.
  2. They communicate with the other officers and the guild leader and assist with events.
  3. They uphold the guild rules in a fair manor while making no exceptions.
  4. They aid in guild recruitment.
  5. They attend all officer meetings.
  6. They communicate with the other officers, class leads and guild leader.
  7. They understand that all players have different play styles and it is their responsibility to guide members to work together in order to find a well organized workable and effective dichotomy.

Structural and Beliefs:

We operate under several important philosophies that help us maintain our highest standard of raiding.

  1. Each member has a desired role in the guild and we ask each member to do their best to accomodating.
  2. The more we run with each other, the better we perform and learn our fellow teammates play style.
  3. Loot is a tool and nothing more to help us progress into further content. Loot will always drop again and fighting over loot is prohibited.
  4. Every member acknowledges and trusts that their fellow guild mates can and will stand on their own doing what is required of them to be a functioning and cooperative member of the guild.
  5. Negativity is never tolerated and speaking down to each other, pointing fingers, placing blame or calling people out for any reason during raids over performance is unacceptable.
Finally, we have an open chat channel that we use for inter-guild talk, its called "snotlings". Feel free to join by issuing "/join snotlings" command in game!
